LES TERRES est une série thématique aux formats et techniques mixtes. J’y traite de la régénération, comme approche optimiste de la finitude, un cycle, un renouveau.

Par leur colorimétrie (l’usage quasi essentiel de teintes brunes et noires), les œuvres renvoient par analogie à la terre. Une terre gorgée d’eau, qui use autant qu’elle peut de ce qui meurt (arbres, vivants) pour faire pousser la vie au multiple par dessus.

THE SOILS is a thematic series, and is composed of different formats and techniques. With these paintings, I am addressing the topic of regeneration, as a way of giving a positive eye on finiteness, a cycle, a renewal. Thus, the integration of skeletal or dead figures calls back to Renaissance’s vanities.

By their colorimetry (the almost systematic use of brownish and blackish tints), the artworks refer to the earth. A waterlogged earth, which draws as much as it can from what is dying (trees, living) to make the seed of life sprout in a much stronger way.
